Documented CockroachDB, a distributed SQL database. Wrote developer and API documentation for CockroachDB and CockroachDB Cloud services.

Documented Apache Cassandra, DataStax Enterprise, and DataStax Astra. Wrote developer documentation for applications that integrated with Cassandra, with focus on Cassandra drivers, Apache Spark for analytical workloads, and GraphQL and REST interfaces.

Senior technical writer

Documented the Java EE platform. Technical lead for the Java EE Tutorial, and lead writer for Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), the Java Persistence API (JPA), and web services (JAX-RS, JAX-WS).

I started work as a junior technical writer at Borland Corporation after interning with them during college at UC Santa Cruz. After that, I worked at Lutris Technologies, a startup that created an open-source J2EE applicaiton server. Then I joined a very small company in Napa called the Aurora Group run by a friend-of-a-friend that developed a wine recommendation engine.
